Meet Teacher Evelyn Yuanhui Chen, founder of Stories By Children ✨
Driven by a passion for listening to children and helping them find their voices through storytelling, Evelyn spent many years guiding young writers to express themselves with confidence and heart.
With over 20 years of experience in education, research, and leadership, she has worked across schools, preschools, private education centres, the Ministry of Education (MOE), and the National Institute of Education. Evelyn holds a Master of Education from Harvard University, alongside qualifications from National University of Singapore and NIE. She also received training in areas such as Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia education.
Under her guidance, children participating in the Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition achieved one Gold Finalist award, one Gold award, five Silver awards, and two Bronze awards between 2023 and 2025.
Although Stories By Children concluded its journey in 2025, Evelyn remains deeply passionate about nurturing children, creativity, and authentic self-expression. 🌱
